MAT 2025 exam is conducted in a phase-wise manner — February, May, August and December. In a latest update, MAT September session date are now out. As per the official website, MAT September PBT session will be conducted on September 21, 2025. Whereas, MAT September session of CBT will be conducted on September 28, 2025.All candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website, mat.aima.in till September 15 and 22, respectively. Candidates must note that admission will be based on MAT score and GD/PI. As per the specified MAT eligibility criteria, there is no age bar for candidates to appear in the MAT entrance exam. Candidates applying for the MAT 2025 exam must satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the exam conducting authority. In addition to that, candidates will also be required to meet the eligibility criteria of the participating colleges for admission to their respective MBA courses. Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognised university/college in any stream.
Candidates studying in the final year of their graduation are eligible to apply for MAT 2025.
Candidates having a CA, CS or ICWA degree are also eligible to take the MAT 2025 exam.
Candidates are required to complete the registration process for MAT 2025 online through the official website, mat.aima.in. All the entries in the registration form shall be required to be filled out only in English. The following abbreviations can be used to understand specific details during the registration process:
Candidates who registered successfully can fill out the application form for the respective session of the MAT 2025 exam. You can use the steps below to complete the MAT 2025 application form.
STEP 1: Test Mode Details
You shall be given an option of selecting at least one and a maximum of two test modes in Step 1 of the application form.
STEP 2: Upload Photo and Signature:
Upload Photograph - The photograph must be a recent passport-size color photo. The size of the image file should not be less than 10KB and more than 50 KB.
Upload Signature - Sign on white paper with a Black ink pen and scan it. The size of the file should not be less than 5KB and more than 20 KB.
STEP 3: Choose Management Institutes (MI):
Candidates opting for Double test modes will get the benefit of choosing an additional 2 MIs for sending their MAT 2025 scores in addition to the existing option of selecting 5 MIs. Candidate needs to pay INR 118/- (Including18% GST) for selecting extra MI.
STEP 4: Make Payment
After selecting MI choices, you shall be directed to the payment page. Payment of the fee can be made through Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking/ Online Wallet.
STEP 5: Fill Personal Particulars, Qualifications & Experiences
Fill in the details on the online application form. Since your eligibility will be screened based on the information entered by you, you are required to correctly match your personal and academic details, etc.
STEP 6:
View/Download Registration Form. Candidate can preview the form before submitting the application form and can take a printout of the same for their record.
A successfully registered candidate can perform below actions:
Update details if required: Candidate can edit details except Name, DOB, Email, and mobile number after downloading and reviewing the registration form.
Upgrade Exam: Candidate can upgrade their already opted exam mode to available options among Double CBT+PBT with an additional fee of INR 1200/-
Additional MI Choices: Candidate can select as many as MIs with an additional fee of INR 118/- (Including 18% GST) per MI choice.
The MAT application fee for the July session CBT (Computer-Based-Test) mode is Rs. 2,200. In case the student wishes to appear for both CBT and PBT, the fee will be Rs. 3,800. The application fee will same regardless of whether you choose CBT or PBT.
One can pay the fee online using various methods such as debit/credit card, net banking or UPI.

All the registered candidates can download their admit cards for the MAT 2025 exam as per the schedule announced by the officials. The candidates can access the admit card by entering their login credentials generated at the time of MAT 2025 registration. The MAT 2025 admit card was available online. The MAT 2025 admit card was not sent through the post or mail.
Following the MAT 2025 exam, officials will release the MAT 2025 answer key on the official website. Candidates can check and download the answer key by logging into the online portal. The MAT 2025 answer key will contain the correct answer for each question asked in the MAT 2025 exam. Candidates can use it to check the answers marked by them against the answer key. It will also give an estimate to the candidates for how much they will score after the negative marking calculation.
The final MAT 2025 score obtained by the candidate will be scaled up to create a composite score. The MAT 2025 score represents the raw marks obtained by a candidate. The MAT 2025 percentile, on the other hand, is a measure of the performance of a candidate compared to all the other candidates participating in the MAT 2025 exam. For example, a MAT 2025 score of 120 means the candidate scored a total of 120 marks out of 150, but a MAT 2025 percentile of 95 indicates that the candidate performed better than 95% of the total participants.

The MAT 2025 result can be expected in the last week of July 2025 after the release of the answer key for MAT 2025. The MAT 2025 result will contain the final marks as well as the overall percentile obtained by the candidate. The result of MAT 2025 for each session will be declared individually after the respective exam is held successfully. MAT 2025 Results for each session will be declared through the official website only. The MAT 2025 result will only be valid for one year.
The selection process for various participating institutes will begin after the declaration of the MAT 2025 result. As mentioned above candidates are allowed to choose up to 5 Management Institutes while applying for the MAT 2025. The candidates will be initially shortlisted based on the cutoff score. After getting initially shortlisted candidates will have to go through further selection rounds of MAT such as Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
After all the rounds are complete finally shortlisted candidates will get a callback confirming their selection to the respective college. They will then be required to follow the necessary admission process.
NOTE: Some registered colleges select candidates only on the cutoff basis and do not conduct GD or PI rounds.
There is no one cutoff applicable to all colleges in MAT 2025. The MAT 2025 cutoff is different from college to college. However, the factors affecting the cutoff remain the same for every college. Candidates taking various attempts will have the advantage because the best score out of all the given attempts will be considered for the selection process by the participating colleges. Apart from the cutoff, the candidate must also meet the eligibility criteria specified by the college they seek admission to.
