How to calculate the XAT percentile 2025?

The following formula helps to calculate the XAT percentile:

P = ((N-r)/N) x 100

  • P: Percentile

  • N: Number of candidates who appeared in the XAT exam

  • r: Rank of the candidate

The XAT percentile is calculated based on the scaled marks achieved by the candidates from all sections of the XAT exam, and the rank of the candidates is determined based on the scores obtained in the exam. Let's see an example to understand how the XAT score is calculated.

Marking scheme to calculate XAT score 2025

Know how the marks are given for the XAT exam 2025 from below.

  • For each correct answer, 1 mark is given. 

  • 0.25 will be deducted for an incorrect response.

  • For more than 8 unattempted consecutive questions, there will be a deduction of 0.10 marks

  • There is no negative mark in the GK section.

I would like to inform you that Yes CAT or XAT score is necessary for admission in IRMA.
In eligibility criteria of Institute of Rural Management Anand have mentioned that candidate must have valid score of CAT or XAT score.
And also candidate must have passed Bachelor program with minimum of 50%.

  1. TAPMI eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  2. TAPMI uses CAT/XAT/GMAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for Post-graduate Programmes in Management. Accordingly, the candidate should be registered for CAT 2019/XAT 2020 or Taken GMAT and must score well to become eligible for admission.
  3. If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine PGDM admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by TAPMI by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate.
  4. A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for TAPMI Admission 2020.
  5. It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by TAPMI and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination latest by the stipulated date as announced by TAPMI

Candidates are short-listed for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) from among the eligible candidates who have a valid entrance exam score and have applied to the programme of LIBA. The GD-PI process will be conducted at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai After the GD-PI round, admission offers are made by LIBA to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Quality of Work Experience among others.

Last date to apply for admission in LIBA is to close on January 10, 2020. To explore admission opportunity in LIBA, Chennai, the candidates need to apply for admission by using and filling up the online application form. LIBA will accept CAT 2019 and XAT 2020 scores, so you can apply with the CAT scores and also XAT scores. Better of the two scores will be considered. The Application fee for admission to PGDM 2020 at LIBA is Rs.1500/- as was last year.
