XLRI, Jamshedpur, will conduct the XAT 2026 selection process after the declaration of the XAT result. It is expected that XLRI Jamshedpur will release the results in online mode in the third week of January 2026. All those students who make it to the final merit list based on their scores in the XAT exam will be called for XAT counselling. Candidates must ensure that they register themselves on the official website of the colleges if they wish to apply to appear for the XAT selection procedure for MBA. XAT Selection Procedure 2026: Step-by-Step
Candidates who are shortlisted will have to participate in the XLRI selection criteria, which include Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of candidates in all stages of the XAT selection process 2026. Candidates will be able to check the shortlist by using their login credentials on the XAT 2026 official website, xatonline.in.

Participating Institutes will start the selection procedure for XAT 2026 when the GD/PI shortlist is out. Students who clear the XAT cutoff 2026 will be eligible to participate in the selection rounds of different XLRI Jamshedpur institutes/ colleges. - Students who filled out the XAT 2026 application form will be able to download their XAT admit card on the official website of XLRI.
Phase 2 - Shortlisting of Candidates
- Once the XAT result is announced on its official website, XLRI will list students for group discussion and interviews. Students will be selected based on the XAT cutoff published by the participating institutes.
Phase 3 - XAT Selection Rounds
- Students who are shortlisted will be called for the further XLRI call criteria, which will consist of the following rounds.
- Group Discussion (GD) or/ and Essay writing
- Personal Interview (PI)
Phase 4 - Final Selection
- After conducting the XLRI Jamshedpur selection criteria, the final list of selected students will be prepared. Selected candidates will be offered admission to the XAT participating institutes in the offered programs.
