    About PUCAT 2025

    PUCAT exam 2025: Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU) will conduct the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) 2025 in offline mode. The University conducts the PUCAT entrance exam for admission to its PG programmes including MBA in various specializations. The VBSPU has started the registration process for PUCAT exam 2025 in online mode on May 2, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can fill out the PUCAT application form in online mode till June 25, 2025. 

    This university-level entrance test will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. The duration of the test will be of two hours. Before filling out the PUCAT application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria.

    PUCAT Purvanchal University Common Admission Test (session 2025)

    Aspirants must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of PUCAT exam 2025 before applying for the exam. Here it is:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with minimum marks of 45% for General/OBC candidates while 40% for SC/ST/OBC from the recognized University.
    • Those candidates who had failed to secure an aggregate of 45% in their undergraduate degree but have cleared postgraduate exam in any discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC) can also appear for the entrance exam of PUCAT exam.

    Here is the step-by-step process to fill out the form.

    • Visit the official website of the University
    • Click on the ‘Admission’ tab
    • Select ‘PUCAT Admission Notice 2025’
    • Click on ‘PUCAT Application form’ and ‘PUCAT Information Brochure’ to download
    • Print out the application form and read all the instructions given in the brochure
    • Now, fill out the application form (you would need to fill in your basic details and contact details
    • Make sure you enter all the details correctly
    • Also, some self-attested copies of necessary documents (as given in the brochure) and a demand draft of the application fees will be attached to the form

    The application fee for the General/OBC category is Rs. 500 and Rs. 250 for SC/ ST category. The application fees should be paid via a Demand Draft drawn in the favour of ‘Finance Officer, V. B. S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur- 222 003’. There is no other mode of payment available. 

    PUCAT exam will be an objective-type test carrying only Multiple Choice Questions. The duration of the test will be of 2 hours. as per the PUCAT exam pattern. Every correct answer will get 1 mark. The questions will be related to your respective subjects in graduation.

    The PUCAT exam admit card will be released a week before the exam in online mode. The same can be downloaded from the official website of the University. The conducting body will not send the admit card through post or courier to any candidate. 

    It’s a must-have document in order to appear for the test. Candidates without the admit card will not be allowed to write the test. The document will be released on the official website and candidates can simply log in to the website to download the admit card.

    Steps to download the admit card of PUCAT 2025:

    • Visit the official website of the University
    • Log in with your credentials (Application No and Password)
    • PUCAT 2025 admit card will be displayed
    • Download and take print of the document

    The PUCAT exam result will be displayed on the official website of the university. Candidates who appear for the test can download the result from the website.  The result will appear in the form of a rank list. Simply search for your roll number to know your result. Download it and print it out for further admission rounds. The University will publish a merit list of candidates who qualify for the exam.

    All participants who have their name in the merit list will need to attend the Counselling session with the pre-mentioned documents for admission to the various courses offered by the University. The counselling schedule will be available on the official PUCAT website.

    The list of documents required during Counselling has -

    • PUCAT exam rank card and admit card
    • Mark sheet and Passing Certificate (Class X, XII and Bachelor’s degree)
    • Migration Certificate
    • Caste or category certificate
    • Date of Birth certificate
    • Domicile Certificate

    Candidates also need to carry Passport sized photographs.
