IIM Sirmaur Admission Criteria 2025-27

IIM Sirmaur released the admission policy for its 10th MBA batch (2025–27). Admission to the Master in Business Administration Programme at IIM Sirmaur for the 2025–27 batch will be subject to the following parameters:

• CAT 2024 Examination (valid CAT score, as applicable).
• Personal Presence Process (PPP): Personal Interview (PI), as per the shortlisting criteria mentioned below.
• Announcement of the final selection/merit list on the basis of the composite score arrived at using weightages as per valid CAT 2024 score, PI score, academic profile, work experience and diversity (gender/academic disciplines), as mentioned below.

Common eligibility criteria for shortlisting to PI process: This year as well IIM Sirmaur is expected to have the same shortlisting criteria as that of all other nine participating IIMs for CAP 2025 (Except for Supernumerary seats for Girl students). Accordingly, the shortlisting parameters will be constituted as per below.

IIM Sirmaur 2025: Admission under Supernumerary seats for Girls students

The IIM Sirmaur admission process under the supernumerary quota for female students will be conducted separately by the Institute and shall have the following selection parameters:

• CAT 2024 Examination (valid CAT score, as applicable)
• PI Score (To be conducted by the institute)
• Academic Performance
• Work Experience
• Academic Diversity

IIM Sirmaur 2025: Admission for International students

The IIM Sirmaur admission process under the supernumerary quota for International students shall be conducted separately by the institute and shall have the following selection process:

Eligibility criteria

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (from at least a three-year programme) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA/ Grades from a recognized university/institute after at least 12 years of school education.
• Valid GMAT/GRE/TOEFL/IELTS Score (Taken within last five years)
• An international student is one who is not a citizen of India.

Selection Process

• The shortlisted applicant shall be invited for a personal interview via email.
• All invited applicants can interview at the IIM Sirmaur campus or over remote video conferencing.
• The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes, which includes performance in GMAT, performance in Personal Interviews, Academic performance, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, and work experience.

Important Note

• The work experience gained through full-time employment will be considered for the calculation of the work experience score. Also, only completed months will be considered. The length of experience will be calculated as per the CAT 2024 application form.
• Offers of admission under any category/quota shall be strictly in order of merit in accordance with the selection parameters and cumulative score obtained by a candidate.

*Note. Only passing in the final examination of these categories will be considered for the award of marks. Final discretion on any other academic category not included in above table would be classified into any other Professional qualification or ‘Other Non-Engineering disciplines’ in which a degree has been obtained as per GOI norms, rests with the Admissions Committee of IIM Sirmaur.

Final discretion on deciding eligibility under this category rests with the Admissions Committee of IIM Sirmaur.

IIM Sirmaur 2025: Reservation Policy

The government of India's reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs) will be followed.

IIM Sirmaur 2025: Offer Acceptance fee, withdrawal and refund

A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Sirmaur shall be required to accept the offer within the specified time and date and shall need to deposit an offer acceptance amount @ Rs. 50,000/- through an online transaction to reserve the candidature. The amount so deposited shall be adjusted to the term fee at the time of registration.

However, a candidate may wish to subsequently withdraw the offer up to a time limit as may be specified by the institute. In such case(s), the amount shall be refunded to the candidate after deducting the processing charge of Rs. 1,000/- only. In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after Registration, No Refund of the Offer Acceptance Fee and/or Term Fee will be made.
